A father's day goodie!

Now I can elaborate a bit on my last post. On Mother's Day, while in South Carolina, we found out that we're expecting baby #2 on January 16, 2011. We thought it was only fitting to spread the news on Father's Day! And yes, I guess I just make Winter babies. If it holds true for me that each subsequent baby comes earlier than the last, this might end up being another Christmas baby. :/

This pregnancy has already been completely different than the last, at least from my memory (which isn't saying much). I've been sick as a D-O-G. The sight of a vegetable leaves me running for the bathroom and the idea of getting off the couch is pretty much laughable. So my blog suffered and I can't promise it won't continue to suffer until I can break myself out of this pregnancy funk! Making Ben lunch takes so much of my energy that I need a nap afterward. Seriously. I'm a bum these days. But we're SO excited! Baby makin' is FUN!

PS - I'm finally getting the redesign rolled out. There's still some stuff to be done, but thanks to Becca for her help with my header!

  1. Congratulations Chelsea & fam!!! That is so exciting. I so remember the days of being pregnant with my 2nd. I was exhausted, and anything I did drained me even more. Relax while you still can. Happy Father's Day to your husband!

  2. I just read this news on Facebook! Jon and I are very excited for you guys!! Congratulations 'n' stuff. :) January 2011 seems to be the month for babies...we just found out my SIL (Jon's brother's wife) is expecting twins (due Jan. 21, but could be Christmas/New Year's babies if they come early.) Can't wait to see you, catch up, and talk babies!

  3. Congrats! I've been following your blog for months and months now...very excited for you and your family to see this news! :-) I just had my second boy and I have to say my second pregnancy was also WAY tougher than the first! Unfortunately that trend is continuing with a colicky baby :-( Good news is though my first was also early, but my second came right on his due date! So maybe it won't be a Christmas baby :-)

  4. Congratulations! I agree that the second pregnancy is tougher than the first. With the first, you can rest more, snap a nap if needed, but when you are chasing after another child, you can't just take care of yourself. It will pass and you will love how Ben wants to know about the new baby and feels the baby kick. It is very exciting!

  7. Hurray! I'm glad the cat is out of the bag! It will be tougher and you'll be exhausted and the house will be messier but you will be blown away at how big your boy is when you hold that little baby and change his/her teeny little diaper!
