Chapter One.

Yep, I am totally going to chapter my life from now on.  Month by month.  April's chapter is The End of Colic and the Beginning of Skinny (see above).

Anyone ever read the book or seen the movie The Secret?  I quit about five minutes into the movie because it wasn't my cup of tea, but I can kind of get on board with the whole Law of Attraction thing (basically the universe will deliver what you're putting out there with your thoughts - so put out there what you WANT).  So I'm going to title my chapters what I want to happen.  Laugh at me, that's fine.  But my hubby is teaching me positivity so I'm trying this shoe on for size.

This month?  I would like my baby to stop crying and to get skinny.  Or at least start the process of getting skinny.  Hey, I'm three pounds down!  I'm back on my mom's diet that I talked about last year/lost a lot of weight on last year and for all of you who e-mailed me about it and probably threw in the towel before you even started because I can't explain things well AT ALL and I probably just confused you with my 28,000-page document, you can check out my spreadsheets @ my daily log here.  Then you can get an idea of what I eat.  :)

Adalyn is really getting better.  In fact, I took her on a girl's trip out of town on Saturday, fully expecting and anticipating a day filled with shrieks and screams and cries, but, if you can believe it, she didn't make one single peep.  I was SHOCKED.  She still has her moments, though.

Ben is the greatest big brother!  I have no idea why I was even worried about how he'd be with Adalyn.  He's sweet and loving and so helpful.  He fetches me things I need, helps change her diaper, rubs her head and gives her a paci when she's sad, always wants to hug and kiss her before "nigh-nigh" and so on.  I am in love with watching my children together!  Yesterday we even sat Adalyn in the bumbo on the kitchen table and Ben read to her.  Could there be anything cuter?  I could have just eaten 'em both up.

  1. I like seeing your kids together via pictures. I can only imagine what it must be like to watch them interact all day.

You'll be in my prayers as you begin your colic-free/skinny chapter. From what I hear, the universe has to answer to God anyway. =)
