Easter and all that jazz!

This year's Easter celebration was a little more special than most.

One, we have a precious new member of our family to share it with.

Two, we have a toddler who can truly appreciate the holiday instead of flashing us puzzled looks while we shout at him, "Eggs!  Eggs, Ben!" like last year's Easter egg hunt went down.

Three, we got to spend it with my sweet Grandma.  We are out of town right now spending time with an incredible woman.  She's not doing too well right now.  Cancer sucks, let me just say that.  Prayers are appreciated!  We had a GIANT family gathering and I loved every last second of it!

And finally, I truly get the reason for the day.  In the past few months, I've grown incredibly close to my God and grown in my faith by leaps and bounds.  Having that new perspective makes this holiday so amazingly, breathtakingly special.  Christ is risen!

Super huge majorly awesome milestone side note!   I finally made a step in the right direction in becoming a little less OCD.  Yep.  I did.  Ben ripped into his eggs immediately and came upon a melted chocolate bar.  The annoying little voice inside yelled, "WASHRAG!  NOW!  MUST HOLD HIS HANDS STILL UNTIL THEY GET CLEAN!" but then I stomped that voice out and witnessed the cutest dang thing alive.  Letting a kid be a kid.  :)

  1. Happy Easter! Tell me the date of your baptism again? I don't want to miss it. Who are you having do the honors? Hug your g'ma for me. I mean that! I miss mine sooooo much :(
Enjoy your time there. Make it meaningful and memorable. Cherish it. Relish in it.
