I say motherhood is hard work! Enter the part where I tell you, "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all." If you don't think motherhood is the toughest job of all jobs, then you've clearly never raised a child. Or you've never raised my child. Not that my child isn't perfect and the most adorable kid to grace this planet and the smartest child alive and all of that, BUT he's also the most active baby in the world. His weight percentile drops pretty much on the daily and I'm guessing it's all the RUNNING he does. Our days go like this:
Wake up
Change diaper
Eat breakfast
RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, walk for a little bit, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, pull the dog's hair, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, climb on things he's not allowed to climb on, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN.
Bedtime
You get the point. A vacation sounds like the most heavenly thing in the world. And we're doing it! We're packing up the car (WHAT? We're DRIVING? 15 HOURS? WITH A BABY? Yeah, we have a death wish) and trekkin' it to Hilton Head. Boo-yah. A little beach, a little sand in the tosies, a little swapping babysitter time with our friends (read: Mommy & Daddy alone time! On the beach!) and a margarita or five. May 10th? Are you here? Can I DVR my life and fastforward through the next four months?
Sounds great Chels! Where is it located?
ReplyDeleteHilton Head is in South Carolina and we're staying in the Folly Field area! SO excited! :)
